To setup your team, please follow the detailed video tutorials on the Install page.
You can manage the devices under your Team/Account under the 'Team' section of the 'Your Account' page. Simply click 'Logout' next to the old device listed under the student's name to free up the license. Then the student can login on a new device.
One of your students is likely logged in under more than one device.
This could have been done intentionally, or your student might have uninstalled without logging out.
Fix the issue by logging out a device following the instructions above in "How do I change devices?" or by purchasing additional licenses.
If your students login to the extempgenie.com website, they will be listed as the Team Leader of a team with only them on it. This is because in Genie, any account could theoretically start its own team, and the website is intended to be an administrator portal. Please direct your students to login to the Chrome Extension instead of the website. There, if you have invited them, they will be able to use Genie under your team.
Some school computers are setup to automatically wipe their saved data on a periodic basis. If you computers are setup this way, they may delete your Auto-Filed articles and login information. If you are using Chromebooks, please follow our Chromebook Guideto resolve the issue. If you are using a different type of device, please contact us at extempgenie@gmail.com.
Yes, all articles saved up to the point that you stopped Auto-Filing are saved to your computer. If you resume Auto-Filing, Genie will skip articles it has already saved and only spend time downloading new content.
